One other interesting viewpoint taken throughout this book was how "luck" and "good fortune" played a huge role in the independence of the United States. Both sides benefitted greatly from timely changes in the weather and just pure luck. But more than anything the United States may never have existed (according to the author) if not for a very timely winter storm. Read the complete review »
