I loved it aside from a few sections that werent a little racey and had to skip, but otherwise an enjoyable book.

This is a straight-up Regency romance, without much sex. The hero is a "rakehell," of course, and the heroine is spirited, of course. I liked that the hero, Kit, fell in love with the heroine right away and wasn't a total asshole. They were both really nice people, without all the stubborn...more...

It was nice to see Lauren finally find happiness. I did like the way the male lead handled himself. Not so sure the Bedwyns will be interesting in the Slightly series.

This is a start of a series Kit Butler sees Lauren when he is kissing the milk maid. This is how he found his wife. He wants to give a summer to remember and he does. She is one the good writers.

Such a delicate romance. The emotional scars seem real, the characters are not so stereotyped as they are in most books. They feel like real people. I love this romance book.

Another ab fab Mary Balogh book... of course it was the first in the series about the Bedwyn family and I read it last. Sigh. The plot was not too much of a surprise (seems to be a Regency romance staple), but the characters were wonderful, as usual.

It's still one of my favorite books. Just love this story, it's sweet poignant and someone in a review mentioned magical and I agree completely. Lauren and Kit make such a great couple. I hugged it the first time I read it, years ago, and I hugged it this time as well.

In a lot of ways I liked A Summer to Remember better than it's predecessor, One Night for Love. Lauren turned out better than I had hoped (or feared, rather :P), and the love story between her and Kit was very sweet, realistic, and lovely. I couldn't ask for more! I loved how Lauren gradually opened...more...

This book starts off as a son coming home to the obligations of his family but not really ready to commit so he hatches a plan and not really thinking that either party will become involved. the woman everyone expected him to marry and her snobidh family the bedwyns and a woman who was just jilted ...more...

Mary Balogh writes with such tenderness and underlying joy and it is a pleasure to read her love stories. I adored this story about the coming of age for Lauren and Kit. While so many romance authors tend to over do "tormented love", Mary seems to know just when to tie it up and provide so...more...
