Summary

Two hundred years in the future and on a space station far away, Shelby Duncan opens a book--and falls through one of the photographs inside. Tumbling through time and space, she arrives with a thud on twentieth century Earth and on the doorstep of Conrad Rayford. Intrigued by the woman who’s stumbled out of the desert night, Con wants to shelter and protect her, especially when he realizes she doesn’t remember who or where she is. Yet if his intentions are good, his ability to keep his hands to himself are put to the test when the chemistry starts to boil between them--and Shelby is hard put to find an excuse to avoid his advances. She likes him. She likes Earth, but can she stay? Or, when the door in the book suddenly opens again, must she go?

I always like books with a little intrique, this was good but not quite up to her usual. Ending rather abrupt.

Didn't care for it. The synopsis on the jacket sounded interesting but it just didn't hold my attention.

I found this book extrememly slow. The story line was decent, but took awhile to get through the first 3/4 of the book.

A fun read. Her books combine mystery with NY smart aleck. Nothing serious - a good fluff book for vacation.

didn't really care for this one - the jacket description was somewhat interesting, but the writing was fairly weak and the characters flat.

This CIA based mystery was unbelievable in part and silly in places. The main character was rather neurotic and her reactions were folish. Don't bother.

Woman fired from the CIA but she doesn't know why. 15 years go by and she start to figure it out. OK mystery, but what I like is the way Isaacs writes.

Susan Isaacs may not be Jane Austen, but she's a terrifically entertaining writer who has mastered multiple genres and brings a sense of humor, tight writing, and clever plots and characters to plucky amateur detective fiction, family sagas, and other forms that aren't often given such classy treatm...more...

I listened to this audiobook and was pleasantly entertained. This is your typical spy girl light adventure.[return][return]Katie used to have a desk job at the CIA and was fired for no reason. Fifteen years later, she still wonders why she lost her job. But now she successfully is a writer for the S...more...

A pretty silly book that I picked up in the airport. It was an entertaining and easy read, but the main character was super annoying. Maybe good for a beach read, nothing more.
