Summary

Norah Barclay finally found love in old age, only to lose it to the inevitability of death. Even as she railed at God, she knew her own choices had led her down the path which led to her sitting by the deathbed of Egan Corey as he drew his last breath. But she is not alone, even in the stillness of the night. Her grief is shared by One who can see the whole of the fabric of our lives, who decides, ". . .this time, for these two . . ." Norah has a chance to set all to rights. Can she avoid the tangled web that trapped her in a spinster's loneliness and Egan in a forced marriage?

About Anne Manning

Anne Manning has been writing, or trying to, all her life. When she found romance, she knew she’d found her writing home. Between homeschooling her two high-school aged sons and six-year-old daughter and her real job as a translator, she weaves her stories of romance and happily ever after. Believing the truth of the saying, "Life’s too short not to live it as a Texan," Anne and her husband -- a hero if there ever was one -- are currently planning to move their three children, one ancient Sheltie, and a paranoid gray domestic short-hair cat named T. Rex to the wilds of Texas Hill country.

I loved it! The story of Matt and Kylie was great, but I think the relationship of Jill and Doug really gave the book that extra depth as well as a fun romantic element.

it was a good book, probably would have been better if I had started at the beginning book. It taught me that things that are mean to be find a way.

So I didn't realize that this was the second book in the series. If I had read "Undercurrents" first, I might have liked it better. As it was, it was okay, a quick read.

I must admit that I didn't enjoy her second book nearly as much as her first one but it was good none-the-less. I am looking forward to reading the next one and will probably have it done by next week.

I thought it was a bit cheesy at first, (i.e. Matt and Kylie accidentally meeting up in Texas and in the same ward!) until the suspense took over. It does set you up for the final book in the series, "The Deep End."

I loved this series of three...they are fun, exciting, and you don't want to put them down. Very clean. I bought one at a used book store and had to go after the other two at my favorite place, Amazon Books.

I would have liked this book a little more if it hadn't rehashed so many details. I ended up skipping a few chunks of this book just because it was frustrating to read over and over. Having said that... I did like this book! I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

I am so angry I didn't realize that these books were a series and I read the third one, then the second one, and now I have to go hunt down the first one. ARRRAH! I did enjoy the book though.
