Trixie Belden and her mysteries was my first foray into the fascinating world of suspense, and at age eleven I realized I was happiest with a pen in my hand and a plot swirling in my mind. I think this is a pretty fairly decent book from her, though I've heard mixed reviews from others. This took me about a week and is a good new series to read.

This isn't as bad as Hornet's Nest, but it continues to amaze me that the Kay Scarpetta series can be so good and coherent with purposeful seamless narrative and well-defined characters--and then write in so unformed and unfocused a way.
