The continuing saga of all those characters from the previous Pern books. Sure, I enjoyed it, but I'm a Pern junkie. Only for diehard fans.

Now that Pern is free from thread, what will the dragonriders do with themselves? This story tells of their hopes and fears, and how some on the planet want things to be as they used to be.

I really like the Pern books. I hope that more are written about this time in the Pern history. My daughter really likes the series also.

At the present this novel is the conclusion to the Pern series. It ties up all the loose ends, but does leave open the possibility of a different path that the series could take if Mrs. McCaffrey decides to take it.

I really liked this one. Familiar characters and the young ones growing up, bumps and all. The people moving forward. Good read.

I bought this during a stressful quarter at school and it worked wonders. I had to buy it in hardcover because it had just come out, but it was certainly worth it. For that reason it is one of my favorite books. McCaffrey does it again.

Another book of Pern that happens after the Red Star is moved. I enjoyed it because it continued with F'lessan. I didn't like the new ability given to dragons. I thought it was forced and I just didn't like the idea of where it was going.

I'd forgotten how much fun McCaffrey is too read - clearly not a challenging book but a nice warm read. I understand she is now writing with her son (Todd McCaffrey), which I have't yet read. I only hope her world isn't ruined like Herbert's Dune series.
