More of the King children and their friends. I liked reading their adventures and used to long to be one of their group.

I have read this over and over along with The Story Girl. This wraps up the childhood adventures of the King family cousins. Beautiful and sad, with peeks into everyone's future.

What was missing in the Story Girl I found in this book. I loved it so much and was so sad when it ended. I am in love with the characters and they made me wish I was back on the golden road myself.

A sweet read. I dreaded the chapters about their magazine, but the rest was good. And the descriptions of the island are always the best part.
