Super easy to read and lots of stuff in here that actually makes you laugh out loud. It was somewhat bittersweet to read though, because as I'm writing this review Artie is still recovering from a suicide attempt. Actually knowing Artie had recently attempted suicide made a lot of his self deprecia...more...

Artie is very sorry to everyone he ever fucked over, which is everyone he mentioned in this book. After overlooking the apologies, I was most amazed that he was able to be successful and at the same time continue his drug & alcohol bingeing lifestyle. This book is not as funny as I would of hoped, m...more...

I've put the book on the 'humor' bookshelf, but there's really not much that's funny about Howard Stern show sidekick Artie Lange. To Fat to Fish is a memoire which chronicles a history of self distructive behavior ala John Belushi, Richard Prior, Sam Kineson, Chris Farley, etc. The main difference ...more...

Artie Lange (not to be confused with R.D. Liang the Scottish Psychotherapist who incorporated LSD into his practice... OK, if you say R.D. Liang, R. Linag, R.D. Liang real fast it sounds like Artie Lange but I digress.... If you like east coast humor and love to live vicariously through others who ...more...

I liked this, but it shows that this was his first book. Maybe it was more the editing than the writing, as I felt some of the longer chapters could have been broken up into sections for easier readability and also just to provide some logical breaks. At times I found myself exhausted, amazed that t...more...

I didn't know who Artie Lange was before I read this book, and I now realise I wasn't missing much - Lange comes across as a wilfully ignorant drug-addled fuck up with massive daddy issues. Too Fat To Fish is mainly a document of his frequent downward spirals into all-consuming drug use, but little ...more...

This is not your typical celebrity puff piece put together by some ghost-writer. Lange presents himself to the world laid bare for the world to see. Anyone who is a fan of the Stern show will know many of the stories already. That doesn't diminish their impact on the printed page. Those who don'...more...

I would imagine I am the only person reading Artie Lange's autobiography based on an interview I heard with the actor on NPR's Fresh Air. Honestly, I loved Stern when he was on terrestrial radio but I haven't heard word one of his Sirius/XFM work, but I had forgotten about Lange before that intervie...more...

This qualifies as an intense skimming which I enjoyed very much (also Shayla this was another one that I put on hold and was like the 100th person but somehow got bumped up.) I like Artie's brutal honesty a lot. I don't think I'll ever feel like he was a good Jackie replacement. It's pr...more...

Since I am not a "fan" of Artie Lange's, I was hesitant to read this book. I noticed a friend read it and liked it, so I thought what the heck! This book made me think that everyone should write their own book. Honestly, you never know what people have done in their lives, and t...more...
