My husband and I came to California after our marriage. He was killed seven years later in an automobile accident, leaving me with two young boys to face the world alone. Three years later I married Don La Pierre, a Satellite Controller and we also had a son. We've raised three wonderful guys who are college graduates, plus enthusiastic hunters and fishermen.
I live in the Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale, California) where I owned a Mail Order Used Book business for several years, dealing mainly in signed and rare books, but phased it out because it took up too much of my writing time. I’m an avid reader, belong to the WWS, (Wednesday Writers’ Society) and periodically attend functions of other writing organizations.
