Summary: Trey Dalton is having a very bad day. Someone is trying to destroy his plantation, his mettlesome aunt has come to visit, and some strange woman has appeared on his doorstep spouting some nonsense about coming from the future. Alexandra Tibideaux's day isn't any better. After racing from California to New Orleans because of an urgent message from her grandmother, Alex learns that all Grams wanted was to tour an old plantation, where Alex finds an exact likeness of herself. When curiosity causes her to touch the portrait, she finds herself trapped in the past with a man who is far too cute and too pig-headed for her taste.

Author biography: Barbara Donlon Bradley has always had a vivid imagination. At the tender age of 11, her first taste of writing was creating her own character based off of the DC Batman Comic. Then she progressed to Star Trek, writing short stories featuring her own character interacting with the crew of the Enterprise. In 1993 writing took on a whole new meaning for Barbara when her mother-in-law paid for her first year in RWA and the new group Chesapeake Romance Writers. Writing is a passion for Barbara. She has completed three manuscripts so far, and working diligently on her fourth one, a sequel to "A Portrait in Time".
